Building connections: Bucha mayor meets with Biel municipal councillor

The meeting between the Director of Social Affairs and Security, Municipal Councillor Natasha Pittet, and the mayor of the Ukrainian city of Butscha, Anatoly Fedoruk was organised with the support of USB and Vidnova Associations.

During the meeting, Municipal Councillor Pittet emphasized the solidarity of the city of Biel with the people of Ukraine. In memory of the massacre of the civilian population perpetrated by Russian troops in Butscha in March 2022, she also recalled that everything must be done to hold those responsible for their crimes accountable. The city of Biel is happy to support the Ukrainian city with its expertise.

The meeting should pave the way to future cooperation between the two cities. Anatoly Fedoruk thanked the city of Biel for the warm welcome and emphasized the need to expend regular exchanges between Ukrainian and European cities.
