The psychological club “Resilience” celebrates its second anniversary. Two autumns ago, thanks to the support of the civic organization USB, people came together who were united by their love for Ukraine, their desire for personal growth, and their inner harmony. Today, this has grown into a true community of 34 members, where everyone has found not only support, but also friends, inspiration, and meaning.
“When I look at you, I don’t just see club members – I see a community of like-minded people,”
says the club’s founder, Dr. Olha Bukovska, clinical psychologist, PhD, and associate professor.
Over these two years, the “Resilience” Club has held more than 60 psychological meetings and 25 yoga sessions. Participants have also explored Petrykivka painting, neurography, and even first aid basics.
“We breathed, painted, laughed, cried, discussed, danced, took part in Ukrainian events — and all of that was about life. About us,” adds Olha.

From Trauma to Self-Love
The first meetings of the club were about trauma and resilience – how to regain balance when the ground seems to shake beneath your feet. Gradually, the topics became deeper: relationships with children, partners, and parents. Then came the realization that happy relationships start with a happy woman. Participants learned to nurture their own happiness, explored their sexuality through dance and movement therapy, and reconnected with their bodies — choosing life again and again.
Where Science Meets Creativity
“Resilience” is a place where psychology meets creativity, and yoga blends with therapy. Here, people paint and reflect, breathe and discuss, study schema therapy and third-wave cognitive behavioral therapy, and talk about values, personal boundaries, assertiveness, and the masculine and feminine. Step by step, the club has evolved — from topics of survival to those of conscious and fulfilled living.

A Space to Be Yourself
Participants say they come not only for knowledge but also for a feeling of home.
Here, people celebrate finding jobs, recovery, new friendships, and progress in learning the local language.
Here, they don’t just meet — they grow together. “We create a space where one can simply be oneself. Because the main thing is to create yourself. Every day. With love,”
says Olha Bukovska.
New Topics, New Discoveries Ahead
Two years are only the beginning. Many more meetings, topics, and discoveries lie ahead.
And above all — the belief that together we can walk any path.
Because this is what resilience truly means — the ability to love life, even when it challenges us.
