Ukrainian-Swiss youth sing for refugees in Viererfeld

More than fifty guests attended the celebration to listen to Ukrainian songs.

The concert featured the ‘Maria Spivak Creative Studio.’ Yevhen Milkowych performed the legendary song “Mom” by Ukrainian singer Skryabin. The Harmony Choir performed several songs in German, and well-known Ukrainian songs were performed by Iryna Khalipan and Vitaliy Apanashchenko. The Ukraine Schweiz Bern Association supports the integration of Ukrainian refugees in the Bern canton by providing psychological support, education for children, events for youth and elderly people, and recently, assistance in employment.

‘Such concerts promote communication between people, which undoubtedly helps with integration and productive interaction among Ukrainians,’ noted the association’s leader Olena Krylova. This celebration was created as part of a project funded by the Roman Catholic Parish of Bern and the region.
