Svitlana Prokopchuk, media coordinator of the Ukraine Switzerland Bern Association, took part in the club evening of the Women's Association "Zonta Bern", which took place the day before in Bern. The atmosphere of the event was very warm, welcoming and inspiring - the support, interest and sincere openness of the participants were felt.
This time, the guest speaker was Marianne Gredel, a specialist who has been accompanying families and researching relationships between generations for over 40 years. Her speech was not only meaningful, but also very sensitive. She shared her own observations, revealing the deep causes of misunderstandings in families, between parents and children, grandmothers and grandchildren. Marianne's reflections on how we can shape our relationships confidently and with dignity, with respect for ourselves and others, were especially valuable.
Among the topics discussed were:
– How are the dynamics of intergenerational relationships changing in the modern world?
– What unconscious attitudes and expectations often cause conflicts?
– How to maintain a connection between generations while remaining yourself;
– Why ease and friendliness are not a weakness, but a strength in communication.
The Ukraine-Switzerland Bern Association has been cooperating with Zonta Bern for several years, participating in joint initiatives or implementing projects supported by the club. This opens up opportunities for mutual exchange of experience, cultural enrichment, and the creation of new projects aimed at supporting women, in particular Ukrainian refugees in Switzerland.
Zonta implements a number of important social projects. Their activities are based on trust, partnership and a genuine desire to change the world for the better. A women's club with a long history, which unites active, conscious women from different walks of life, aims to strengthen women's rights, promote equal opportunities, support education and the development of social initiatives in Switzerland and around the world.
