Forum on Psychology and Personal Growth: Strength in Resilience and Unity

On October 11, the forum “Strength in Resilience: Mental and Physical Health, Self-Help, and Integration” took place in Horgen. The event brought together Ukrainians from various cantons of Switzerland and even from Liechtenstein. It became a platform for discussing important topics such as adaptation, psychological support, and mutual assistance among migrants.

The forum was organized by Inna Chala, a psychologist and personal development trainer. She also conducted a practical seminar titled “My Shadow Self as an Obstacle to Communication with Myself and the World.” The event’s partner was the USB Association, which supports initiatives in the field of mental health and the integration of Ukrainians in Switzerland.

The moderator of the event, Svitlana Prokopchuk, USB media coordinator, emphasized the importance of the topic: “We are not just integrating – we are building new communities where mutual support makes us stronger.”

During the panel discussion “Psychological Consequences of War and Forced Migration,” psychologists Svitlana Manzer and Olha Bukovska shared their experiences working with emotional resilience, personal boundaries, and recovery after trauma.

Throughout the day, participants attended workshops, seminars, and art performances focused on self-help, body practices, and deep recovery. The forum concluded with warm networking and new ideas for joint projects.

The forum in Horgen became another step toward creating a community where integration is not only adaptation but also a path to support, growth, and unity.
